A friend of mine is in the market for a new pre-built pc (has to be pre-built). He has a budget of £1000 in which he wants a monitor and the pc of course. His main use is games, he wants to be ready for dx10 so an 8800 and vista is needed.

Get Scan to build you one or build it yourself.
Much less hassle.

I think it seems a good fair price for a pre-build, and they are a respectable company arnt they?
Used them before in a company purchase. Decent system for workstations, tech support was okay, none of them broke down the 2 year onsite does that cover for NI? Would be worth checking as that would v.important if he is a comp noob.

Just take a look at the Mesh forums on here. There are alot of horror stories.
thats hardly fair, im sure hundreds and hundreds of people are happy with thier computers but just cant be bothered to sign up to hexus and say thanks....
I know what you mean, the number of customers vs complaints etc, but it would def put me off.
It just seems that people not only have hardware faults, which is understandable, we all get them, but they have a hella hard time getting things sorted and getting through to someone.
