    Q6600 OCZ PC8500 Reaper and GIG DS3 overclock.

    Hello,

    Well just got new ram and chip today, popped them in and guess what... Ram is still at a poo 667mhz, thought this rig would auto pick up at 1066 or somethin... whats going on?

    well thats a bit crap! i have a new problem now though.
    CPU CPU Clock Motherboard Chipset Memory CL-RCD-RP-RAS Score
    4x Core 2 Quad Q6600 3000 MHz Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 P965 Dual DDR2-888 5-6-6-20 CR2 10324

    right as you see i have clocked it up to 3000 no problems. however i have just ran 3dmark 06 ( i am running vista ultimate with driver 158.45) i have a EVGA 8800 GTS and i got.... wait for it..

    whats going on with my comp i should be getting about 6k to 7k.

    The answer to your second problem could be that your pcie link width has dropped to 1x. Open cpuz and check.
