    Maplin at Erdington will have a can of IPA. (and probably Akasa thermal grease removing compound - I suspect the two are similar!

    IPA - a solvent that will remove greasy deposits

    WD40 - a solution of oil in white spirit (or similar) designed to leave greasy deposits.

    Opposite functions.

    OP (Premium) wanted a solution not me.

    I have stock (thank God) of Acetone to get the TIM off, Isopropyl Alcohol to give a good finish, and lint free tissues to use with the liquids
