    Re: Thermalright Ultima-90: Wowser

Pob55 - the Zalman flower (and plenty of other coolers) may cool the mobo better*, but test after test shows that it's the CPU cooling that counts when it comes to OC'ing. And that was before all the decent mobos used ace capacitors and covered them with Cu HS's.

    * I suspect that blowing the hot air off the CPU over the mobo isn't doing it any favours.

Regarding laziness, how about reading the entire post. I know it's height, and I know the height of the Ninja (which itself is about 10mm shorter than some of the tallest tower heatsink). But it is no clear indicator that the height with a 120mm fan will be shorter than the Ninja with a fan (depends on the fit).

    Re: Thermalright Ultima-90: Wowser

    Thermalright Ultima-90 = Thermalright Ultima-90i ?

I'm guessing they're the same? Just they added an 'i' at some time between the different reviews to better differentiate between the Ultra-90 and Ultima-90 ?

    Anyone in the know?

I think I read somewhere that the latest version had the mirrored finish.

Took the plunge and bought one from OC . Only UK seller atm, and I plan to build within the next week.

    Re: Thermalright Ultima-90: Wowser

The only reason I am leaning towards buying a Scythe Ninja Plus over the Thermalright Ultima-90i is the fact that the Ultima-90i is only availiable from OcUK at the moment, and I would just prefer to be able to order all my parts from the same company.
