    PSU cable question

I have this Enermax Galaxy PSU and it has a strange cable that I'm not sure about. Looking at the website, it seems to be a Fan RPM cable. Where do I plug this in? Is it just to monitor the speed of the fan or can the PSU's fans be controlled from this cable?

    Re: PSU cable question

If it's the same as mine, it has only 2 wires and plugs into the power fan connecter on the mobo, it's only to monitor the rpm.

Little white and black cable with brown connector? I need to find where this plugs into. And I see you're from Leicester too

    Re: PSU cable question

The connector will plug into a spare fan socket, like the one marked AUXFAN1 in the bottom right hand corner or AUXFAN3 and AUXFAN4 on the far left two thirds of the way up on this picture. It will allow you to monitor the 8cm fan speed.

    Re: PSU cable question

It should go into one of the system / aux fan connectors on your mother board.
And as filbert said, it only monitors the fan speed not control it (so you'll be able to see the fan speed in something like speedfan )

Thanks much for that. I'll put it on next time I take the case side off.
