asus p5k onboard sound

I am going to build a pc using the asus p5k (not deluxe or wifi) i know it has on board sound but as i have a 5.1 speaker sound system i was just wondering how it will cope, if anybody knows or has any ideas they are all welcome.

It utilises 5.1 speakers fine. I'm not an audiophile or anything so I can't say anything about the quality, but it works and that's fine by me
