    Question New Build advice...

    Hi,

In the near future, I will have £1000 to spend on a new PC.

I would like to ask your advice on a spec, but there are a few conditions...

All of the gear must come from 1 e-tailer.
    No OS required.
    2 TFT's - 17" min
    Nvidia 8800GTS 320.
    Pref abit mobo
    All SATA drives (including optical)
    2GB RAM max.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks.

    Re: New Build advice...

looks great just that hard drive.

Everyone has their preference but i've got 2 dead hitachi's in my draw and one newish one which is behaving itself but I have trust issues with them

I forgot to add a HSF as well
    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=296802

I've used this in two pc's and its amazing for cooling and silence.

The only noise you will hear in that pc is the 8800 which will be a gentle hum.
..and perhaps some hard drive noise with the hitachi

Noise wise the AAKS western digital is totally silent and that's why i'm recomending.

    Re: New Build advice...

Got a P180 atm and love the case and I have 2 Hitachis in there as well and these have lasted me years - myself, had issues with WD drives a few times - horses for courses!

As the drives are on rubber - all good - like the hsf!
