I can get hold of the OCZ for 50 quid - is the Corsair worth the 14 quid extra??

Probably corsair seem to be surpassing OCZ in decent PSU's lately. It looks likwely to continue with this Corsair VX550W with a meaty single rail 12v
luck
The VX550W is going to cost around 54 quid from Scan though!
Which is £8 cheaper than the 520 £ at scan ??The VX550W is going to cost around 54 quid from Scan though!
which puts it between the ocz & the HX520
I see no point for the VX550W if the HX520 which is a better modular PSU is only 8 quid more. If it were 45 quid then it would be a good price and would wipe the floor with the competition!
why do you say the HX520 is better than the VX550?
If you want modular fine , but the VX is the better psu
Now if corsair are seasonic why would anyone pay more for a Seasonic 500w.
That doesn't make the slightest amount of difference, all Corsair PSUs are built to Corsair specifications regardless of who the OEM is, the VX550 is a very good unit.

I thought that Seasonic were better than CWT(according to the reviews) and that the HX520 has more rails??!!
I need to get a decent PSU as the DFI iCFX3200 I have seems to be very picky about PSUs.
I know that the HX520 works but neither the VX450W or VX550W have been tested so far on this board!

More rails=cheaper, 1 rail=better more expensive.
This is more than all the above but I would pay the extra if I wanted one:

I don't know if it's available at scan.
If you read the HX520/620 and VX450/550 from jonnyguru they are all top notch units even the CWT built VX550, and the multirails on the HX series are only virtual rails, it is in fact 1 large +12V rail.
Also the upcoming TX750 will be built by CWT, while the TX650 will be built by Seasonic, pricing of the TX650 should be cheaper than the current HX620 apparently, TX series are non-modular and labeled with a single +12V rail.
