Recommend me.. best sub 100 quid headphones for music at home/office

i've had a problem of durability with the last two headsets I had (both plantronics)
after a year or so, sound would only come through one side.
is this a common problem?
thinking of going with sennheisers this time

The 'sound coming through one side' is not an uncommon problem (usually caused by one of the wire getting loose). But I see that more on portable rigs where people tend to just wrap their earphones around their MP3 player and such. It's less common in 'proper' headphones (which can last decades) as long as you are not too rough with it (no tugging on the wire) and such. The advantage of the Sennheise, is that they are made so that you can easily swap for other cable. While this is probably there so that people can experiment with different cables, it also mean that you can easily replace them if they get damaged.
