This is actually quite typical of PSU makers. They have a premium brand (Seasonic), a mid-level brand (Tagan) and a budget brand (Silverpower). They will not be using the same components, so therefore do not expect Seasonic reliability or stability.

To the OP, The speakers you've chosen are not the good Logis (they are half the price). I'd still say spend the money on the speakers rather than backlighting the keyboard, which seems more like a gamer choice.

I myself have a backlit keyboard, but for my daughter's PC I got a webcam with inbuilt mike with the money I saved on the KB. I got cheap KB/mouse but put more money into the speakers. These were both definitely the right decisions.

    Have chosen these :

Computer hardware and software at amazing prices, available online from Scan Computers UK

Only £24.66 so not much more than the others but have good reviews. Only a uni room so can't be too loud.

    Re: Budget PC Spec Check

I agree. I'm using the X230s in my Covington, KY apartment, which is a wee bit bigger than a Uni room, but still is within a block so I don't want to upset the neighbours (and I have a nice pair of Sennheisers if I want to crank up the music).

I don't know those particular Creatives, but generally outside the gigaworks you are far better staying with Logitech. For a few $ more you can get the X240s from Amazon, delivery included, and they are a very nicely balanced set of speakers, with no distortion, but not overly powerful, at the price level.

If you can go somewhere to get a listen I would urge you to do so. You will then understand why I am pushing you to go that extra 5 pounds.

    Re: Budget PC Spec Check

Ok travelled to scan/aria today and purchased all the bits, even treated myself to some black cable ties and black sticky cable tie guides so can neaten the build up.

Went for the " Creative Inspire Black T3100 2.1 Speaker System " can honestly say im very impressed, connections are of a good quality as is the sub and two speakers, sound is nice, loud and deep would happily recommend them.

Too tired now but when i build it i will post pics of " your " finished article

Oh and the case is a cracking little thing, thanks for the recomendation guys.
