I wasn't slagging off ASUS, im genuinely interested in what they think their market is?
No matter which way you look at it, its expensive and a rip off.

As for the monster truck analogy - you don't find them next to the normal car's at Ford, unlike this motherboard which is trying to aim at the high end market but clearly missing the mark!

    total price = £346.48

so what is the extra £206.39 getting you for the premium version????

(does that help to prove your point Mr. Agent sir)

even if you compare it to the £413.91 deluxe integrated ram thing i've just noticed, its still an extra £67.23 spent on what?
    Yeap, ta
I just don't see the point in integrating this chips into the mobo. Its just more hassle if something goes wrong!
I've had a look online and I could understand if they were hand picked super clocking chips, but I can't find anything indicating such.

At that price, given its features, it just looks like a huge failure.

I thought MSI held the crown for the copper rollercoaster on one of their motherboards, until I saw this one

    Re: What are ASUS smoking?

Maybe its like a sneaky kinda honey trap to catch all the people who just buy the most expensive stuff because they assume its the best and can't be bothered researching stuff. People like my mate who bought a quad core extreme and a 50000 billion watt PSU, to play WoW ;P

    Re: What are ASUS smoking?

Hexus should chase up ASUS and see if they can get one of their reps to give us the marketing spiel on the board and find out what exactly ASUS were thinking?
