Even so, does it make sense? Is 65nm with less cache cheaper to manufacture?

It doesn't concern me; I just bought an E6750 and planned on sitting out on the Penryns anyways. I'm going to wait and see how the Nahalem chips do next winter.

Hopefully they will be better than the HD2600 X2 they brought out. That was worse than an 8600GT!!
