4GB Vista DS3 P35

My friend has bought a gigabyte p35 DS3 against my advise. he also bought 2x 2GB OZC pc6400 RAM.

when he puts them in his system with a 8600GT the system reads 3.5 GB Ram. now I have googled this and seen that there are some issues with memory in XP.

My friend installed Vista 32 bit but is still getting the same results 3.5gb. does anyone know how we can get the missing 512mb back?

Its not an issue with XP, its an issue with 32 bit OS's, he will need to upgrade to a 64bit OS to use the full 4GB, search it on here, youll find plenty of results with this info.
