    Keyboard keeps getting stuck!?!

    Hiya,

I posted about my keyboard problem before and so since then I have got a new keyboard but I am playing different games and I get still get the same problem.
Where suddenly for no reason my forward button (w) will just get stuck for no reason and then my comps speaker starts beeping. The only way to get out of this is to reset my computer as none of the keys work. The button acts as if its stuck down but it isn't as this is a totally different keyboard.
As my first was wireless and now this one is wired and both have exactly the same problem.
Not sure if this is right place to post or whether it should be in windows as I'm not sure what problem it is.
lately though i have been getting virtual memory low error but I have now changed this to system managed size.

Any help would be greatly greatly appreciated as this is a very annoying problem.

    Thanks

how long have you had it mate? I had this very same problem with my arrow keys. So I took off the fascia, removed ALL the keys and cleaned it inside and out. made a hell of a difference, apart from looking better than it did out of the box (all the keys are polished shiny by typing ) the key action is smoother and more reliable. Took me about an hour, but then I did do a proper work-over on it. I removed a ton of crap from it - if you eat at your computer it's gonna be full, no matter how careful/tidy you are, plus little bits of skin from touching it and a suprising/shocking amount of hair...

It's a new keyboard, i have now bought another new one as i thought the keyboard might be the problem and i got it today so i'll see if i still get the problem.

Thanks for the feedback though, if you think of anything else which could be wrong with it then that would be great.

I used to have this problem a long time ago, does it also stop accepting input totally?
Do you have a sound blaster card?

stops accepting input? tried 3 keyboards with the same fault?? I'd say the problem wasn't the keyboard chum, more likely to be the mainboard or the plug on the mainboard that the keyboard mates with...

I had a Jetway board at the time which was an asus rebadged, is a while back though. I ended up upgrading to another pc and dont have the problem anymore. I have no idea what the problem was. I have asked the mod to move this thread to hardware and overclocking as you have a better chance of getting it answered there.
