Unhappy Black NEC ND2500 not "really" black? - help with repsray please.

    Guys,

Not sure if this is the right place for this thread, so apologies if it isn't.

Anyway, I bought the OEM black version of this last week from mircodirect for £90 and have recently placed it into my new SN85G4 black shuttle.

However, the NEC is not really black black but more of a charcoal colour. How annoying is that!!! ARGH!

Does anyone here have any recommendations as to what I should use and how to spray paint it into a shiny black colour (to match the SN85G4).

    Thanks in advance.

    Cheers,
    Chung

Is that reallt the Pioneer 107? The black one looks like it will match my SN85G4 perfectly! I coudln't wait any longer for a DVD burner and wanted it in black so plumped for the NEC ND2500.

Anyone know when the above Pioneer 107 in black is coming out? (I know biege is out already for £90ish)

Oh man, what a bummer! Do you know what model number it is in Japan (is it basically a different fascia for Japan - but in all essence is the same as the 107).

I'll see if I know anyone in Hong Kong who can nip over to Japan and get me one.

    Thanks Gordy.

    Cheers,
    Chung

I hope so too. They look so much better. It's about time plastic ugly PC's got the stylish consumer electonics look other stuff gets, DVD players, Amplifiers, Home Cinema setups etc.

It's not out in Japan until end of Feb 2004 and only stock seems to be 10,000 quantity.

Retailing at 24.800 yen = approx £123 GBP.

Stick with my NEC until then. Can always sell on NEC after.
