3rd HDD not being picked up by Windows x64

Hi folks,

Some of you were so kind as to help me with an issue I was having with my new machine I have just set up.

I have having one minor small issue now tho.

I have 3 SataII HDD's installed, all 500GB and all being picked up in the bios and in the correct boot order. However when I am in windows, it fails to pick up one of them.

Sata 1 = main samsung HDD
Sata 2 = second samsung HDD (this one isnt being picked up by windows)
Sata 3 = seagate HDD

However without the seagate plugged in windows picks up the other samsung HDD perfectly well.

Anyone have any ideas?

maybe auto detect hdd option is turned off. in the administrative tools section click the comp management shortcut and goto the local disk management. if the disk isnt there then maybe you need to enable auto detecting of hdd's in windows. I use winxp manager to set this option but if you google you will find out how to do it. It just speeds up windows as it disables checking every time. I'm having a search for it.

do you have to assign it a drive letter within the 'disk management' part of administrative tools?

got it, it was appearing in disk management as black and unallocated space. have formatted now and assigned a drive letter, now appears in my computer. All sorted, thanx for helping fella's once again this forum saves the day!
