    cheers for the help
    but i still couldnt get it to work for me, i dont think my mobo is compatible with speedfan, as it isnt listed as compatible and altering the fan in the config menu does nothing.

    My mobo isn't listed either, so that is probably not the issue. It's a while since I configured so can't remember anything to check!

    Sorry, didn't get near my PC last night. I recall not seeing either all the temps or all the fans until I had used the 'Check SMBus' button on one of the tabs.
    Also, have you tried unticking the Auto Fan Speed and then setting speed manually to 0 and then, after a couple of moments, setting it to 100? You should hear the fan stop then start.

    yep tried all that
    still no luck. Dont matter its not THAT loud, and if it does annoy me, i will get a zalman fanmate.
