Q6600 & MSI P35 Platinum O/C Guide

Hi,

Is anyone able to provide detailed instructions on how to over clock a Q6600. I have never done this before and before I purchase the 2 items would like to have a simple list of instructions for me to evaluate how easy it is to achieve, as I may alter my choice to an E8400 for the higher clock limit?

I have that board (Neo2 FR) minus a few bells and whistles and have had both of these cpu's over the last few months. Basically you should get around 3.6ghz with the Q6600 and 4ghz+ with the E8400. If you do a lot of encoding go for the Q6600 or if your a gamer go E8400. The other thing you need to consider is if you go Q6600 you need a good brand 500w+ power supply. As for memory they both have a 9x multi so if you clock over 3.6ghz you need memory that goes over 800mhz.
