480W is plenty enough if it's a good PSU. Yes it is nice to use the PCIe power cables but the molex to PCIe work well enough.

Is a 500watt OCZ good enough? + i might buy a 9800gtx, not sure yet... i was reccomended to if i don't have a 8800gtx/s :S
yeah, 480w is more than enough..
but i was thinking ahead to once he's got himself a quad core and everything.
especially with all those HDs and god knows what else..
i felt that the molex to PCI-E adapter i got with my 8800Gt felt very cheap and not very well made..
edit: TGA.. 500w OCZ is plenty good enough, yeah..
Good stuff. I will give it a go when I get the chance
Are you going to OC the GTX? If you do can you post results here please? Considering one myself....
It was a Galaxy 1k.
I sold the 5th replacement before even trying it. It was the most unreliable PSU I've ever had. with an average of 2.5 months between failure, seems to be a regular occurance with the Galaxy/Infiniti series (x38 launch was a fun time for that), hence all the revisions just so they will work with each new motherboard as it is released.
For anyone who reads this in the future:
It turned out that Xclio 480W is good enough for a 9800GTX.
This PSU is very, very good quality for its price... (cost me about £25 iirc)
Good to know there is a decent 480W PSU for £25 out there.
How is it on the noise front?
