    Re: WEI Memory Score

It looks like my RAM is not running at top speeds. The motherboard is running at defaults, so I think it may be running slower than what it can actually do.

    Re: WEI Memory Score

Well, I set the DRAM settings in BIOS back to auto and my WEI memory score when down to 5.5

My mobo supports native 1066Mhz RAM and is currently set to 800, anyone know if corsair XMS2 ram can go up to 1066 safely? Will this affect CPU?

    Re: WEI Memory Score *update*

after a tentative 1st overclock my WEI memory score is now 5.9!!

This brings the overall score up to 5.9 woot =)

I set my FSB to 300 which has given me a cpu speed of 2.7ghz (up from 2.4) and a memory speed of 450mhz (up from 400)

I havent done any temp monitoring (whats the best prog for this on vista?) but PC seems stable enough...

    Re: WEI Memory Score

5:6 appears to be default on most P35s. AFAICS changing the multiplier does not affect the WEI score. And I don't think it's down to clock either. I was 5.9 at stock. I just put it down to MS stupidity. It's not a benchmark, it just reads certain things and gives a score. Just say no to WEI.

lol, well, I know it doesn't mean much but I'm happy now in my own special way =)

what do people here normally use for benchmarking?

    Re: WEI Memory Score

3dMark06, Sisoft Sandra, HDTach, and of course Prime95 are the first things that come to mind.
