Is there a lower limit on CPU operating temperatures?

Everyone knows there is a limit on how high the temperature on your CPU can get (and if you don't, you should!). However I was wondering is there a similar lower limit. In theory I guess there wouldn't be but lets say you wanted to cool your entire system well below freezing I'd imagine there would be a risk of low temperatures causing the cables and wires to get very brittle. An unintentional tap on the motherboard could snap it in two!

Just got me wondering anyway. Saw this on THG a while back.

    TYAN Tachyon Radeon 9600 Pro
    60GB Seagate 'cuda IV 7200
    10GB IBM 5400
    other boring peripherals

Wouldn't of thought so, but -196°C is crazy!

LOL, they had to top it up like every 5 mins or so! Very practical!
