frikin (is frikin allowed ,hell is it even a word outside of austin powers??)onboard network card has died and it looks like il have to rma it to the oh so fantastic (removed bad words here but u know what they where) ppl at ocuk ,oh how i look forward to it
im bloody starving now aswell and im missing hollyoaks (i dont watch it for the storyline ok)

Are you sure it's dead as some D-Link network cards have incompatibility issues hence why i thought mine was dead but i was just using the wrong hardware. It was also fro oc-uk
tis onboard and was fine but appears to have died after an impromptue power down (elecy tripped out)
still atleast i have a spare pci 1 that i can use untill i get it rma'd
why rma the board? new nics are less than the postage!
unless u need the pci slots...

i aint gona take the chance of anything else going tits up on the board ,the last thing i need is for it to go caboom and do damage to anything other than itself ,plus the replacment should be the revision 2 of the board which has some more features and a better sound codec which ive just noticed
Did the power out trip a fuse? Make sure you discharge the system fully - unplug it and press the power button a bit. That might reset it.
As for anything else failing - most unlikely IMO. Personally I'd just stick a £4 NIC in there.
