Could it just be the weather?

The weather is the likeliest thing i would say.

My idle and load temps have increased by 4-5 degrees since it turned warmer/humid.

In your sys specs it says 'Very dusty Antec Sonata'.

Is it very dusty inside aswell? If so, there the problem lies fella.

Re: Crazy temps after heatsink "upgrade"

OK well I changed my 9800gtx for a 7600gs and the temps have plummeted. It is a bit cooler here in London than it was in my room at uni (small room gets hot easily)... but even accounting for that temps are comfortable. I might take the thermalright chipset cooler off, and stick the zalman back on with the zalman bracket, then I can use the thermalright one on my P5K

Edit: actually it can't go on the P5K as that all the heatsinks are joined up
