The stock fan on my AMD X2 4400 is almost inaudible... almost.
I don't have a recent AMD stock cooler, I read good things about them though. My black edition is happy under it's scythe ninja
haha, secretly we are all AMD fanboys with little AMD powered PCs sitting in the corner
The Phenoms were so depressing to behold though
Ok then a test:
650W TX + CM690
or
520W HX + Antec 300
or
650W TX + Antec 900

I think its best to choose whichever case you think looks best. All PSUs are good.
I'd go for modular personally coz with 1 hard drive, 1 optical drive and 1 gpu I really don't need cables.
I've had a damn good nose through various case reviews and the key bits for me:
Antec 300 - Good Cooling; little space to hide cables out of airflow; potentially noisy (no damping)
Antec 900 - Noise with fans on anything but low setting and then cooling in low config.
CM 690 - Easy to build; Good space; Enough cooling; Heavy; Cooling of HD's not optimum;
I think I'll plan for the CM 590.
Similar size but a little less weight than CM 690. I much prefer the cooling setup of the HD's and it matches our Stacker 830. HD caddy has some vibration damping. Loads of scope for more cooling. Only keeping the cables tidy will be a wonder ....
Oh and I prefer the black monolith with blue glowing lights to the extra chrome bits on the CM 690

Another thread is going on in case mods which has resulted in the OP going for the 590. I had no idea what it is
Does look to a be a great case for cooling though, not sure about noise but as I said, I don't really know anything about it.
