Why do I have so many then?

Because you don't have m/any fans/hard drives/graphics cards that need 2 PCIe/DVD drives... for the minimalist's PC, there would probably be more unused cables

In the end I went for:

Case: Coolermaster CM 590
CPU : Intel Q9450 Retail
Fan : Retail
Mbd : Asus P5E WS Professional
RAM : Corsair TwinX DDR2 XMS2 Dominator PC8500 - 2x 1Gb
HD : Samsung F1 750Gb x2 (RAID1)
PSU : Corsair 650W TX
Cost: £643 and a bit

Fingers crossed it'll arrive in short order, it's coming from three different suppliers (Scan, Aria, Microdirect) so it's a race vroom vroom!
If I remember I'll take some piccies and make some notes on the case for others reference.
