Re: how to check a psu?

ok well i tested it just now and its how i thought , the psu is the thing generating the noise. I dont udnerstand how it can be this loud when a 120mm fan on full is quieter than this 14cm fan, its ment to be temperature controlled but it is pretty loud i think its not working correctly. Im going to take it out of the case and double check though.

edit, after taking out of case and clearing out the dust it still is loud, the fan is a constant 100% as far as i can tell, its ment to have a silent tempersture control which in my opinion isnt working. Think its worth emailing xclio?

Well i can see what you mean but tbh this psu is great apart from this issue which i believe is simply a fault with the unit, its over a month old and so a refund is very unlikely. For £65 (assuming i get a refund) what would u actually recommend? the corsair 520? i think it should be enough because it can run quad fire so lol.
