    80GB WD WD800AAJS Quiet?

    I'm looking to relace two drives for quieter ones
    they will only ever hold an OS ( in a HTPC )
    does any one know if these are quiet ?
    Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

    Not really, nor are they all that fast.

    looks like i will be better getting a larger drive that is quieter for 20 gb max

    If you want quiet then get a 5400rpm laptop drive.
