    Question Evga vs ozc ram

    Hi All.

I am new to the forums and have a problem with some ram and an EVGA motherboard.
When I install the new 900 MHZ OCZ Ram the system runs it at 667MHz. This will only clock at 900MHz if I turn on the SLi Memory Function.

Can anyone tell me if this memore is incompatable? im using OCZ2G9002GK.
The old memory is also OCZ 900MHz and this runs defaulted at 800MHz but the new one actually stops the system from booting properly.

Can anyone help me resolve this problem or maybe give me some Idea if it is just the wrong memory.

    Kind Regards

    John

Are you on the latest BIOS version for your mobo? A load of my problems have been fixed by flashing to the newest version.

I am using the latest as far as I am aware... 705 is the newest?
It also appears that this memory is not on the list of approved Dimms.

Maybe that is why it don't work properly..

    Who knows..

When the MESH forums were here, i remember a fair few of this problems rising there.
They built PC's using the same config (EVGA SLI board and the 900MHZ OCZ RAM).

I am sure they ended up swapping out the motherboards because of this.

I was running an ASUS P5-N32 Sli SE Deluxe before it was swapped for the EVGA, and that's when it all started.
Maybe the EVGA motherboards are not working with the Memory?

Im lost, fed up, and sick of computers...lol

    Thanks for the help guys..

    Regards
