RAID 0 card advice needed

I have an Abit IP35-E motherboard that does not support RAID, I wanted to RAID 0 two 74GB Raptors and wanted some advice choosing a RAID card or getting a new motherboard with RAID.

Are the cheap Silicon Image PCI-E RAID cards on ebay any good or should I just get a new motherboard?

Depends how much you want to spend... the one you linked to isn't great, its not hardware raid but it should do the job...

If you can stretch you budget a hardware controller will give you the best performance and reliability. I wouldn't upgrade the mobo, its not worth it imo as 775 is ending soon

Silicon Image are notoriously bad. Stay away from them.
