Overclocking AMD 3200+ on DFI Infinity board

Hi, I've been trying to overclock my AMD64 3200+ on a 939 DFI Infinity board and can't even get to 2.2ghz without it being unstable and blue screening. I've set the CPU Speed to 220 and the multiplier to 10.

Anybody any tips or ideas as to what I should be doing, the system is incased in an Antec 900 and is very cool CPU reporting temps of 31oc in bios.

Not so concerned about the 3200+ as I am about how well I could overclock an x2 4200+ or so in it.

    Cheers

The less you are, the less you express your own life, the more you have, the greater is your alienated life, the greater is the store of your estranged being." Karl Marx

    What ram do you have?

Try the options below from the BIOS.

Change the CPU frequency from the default 220 to something like 250 or higher (250x10 = 2500 [2.5ghz]).

Then change the HT frequency to make sure it does not exceed 1000 (is probably on x5 in the BIOS) if it's on x5, then change it to x3

Go into DRAM configuration and change this from 200 to 133

Disable CPU spread spectrum if it's anywhere (supposedly bad when overclocking)

Let me know if these options are different/not available in your bios.

If remember rightly, the 3200 often went to 2.35 - 2.7Ghz so I'd be surprised if you couldn't at least reach the lower clock.
