I'm le to believe that palit card has a hair drier for a cooler on it.. best to steer clear.
At the resolution all of these cards are a bit overkill really so I'd go with the best overall package.

I don't really need anything special, in all honesty. So I could probably get away with an 8600GT and save £20. No ?
Heres my suggested changes.
Sony dvd drive --> Pioneer dvd drive
Wireless keyboard --> Cheap 1 quid keyboard
Casing + PSU --> Coolermaster centurion 5 + corsair vx450 PSU
Sacrifice the keyboard for a much better casing and power supply, you can always ebay another keyboard in future.
The price difference shouldn't be much, as I've checked on ebuyer website before posting.
You can get the 8600GTS for £45, would be better than the 8600gt (and save £10)
Cavalier-X: Biostar TP45-HP ¦ E4600@3.1ghz - Xigmatek Red Scorpion (OCZ Freeze) ¦ OCZ ReaperX 2x2gb (792mhz @ 4-4-4--12) ¦ Xigmatek NRP-MC651 ¦
Palit 8800gt ¦ X-fi Fatal1ty Gamer ¦ Coolermaster Cavalier 3 (Silver/Windowed) ¦
Poseidon Magma: MSI P45 Zilent ¦ E6300@3.0ghz - Coolermaster Hyper 212 (MX-2) ¦ Corsair 2x2gb (880mhz @ 5-5-5-15) ¦ Corsair HX450w ¦
xfx 9600gt Alphadog edition (780/1950/1000) ¦ X-fi Gamer ¦ Gigabyte Poseiden ¦
As above the GTS is plenty enough. COD4 plays perfectly well at 1440 x 900 on the mobile 8600GT DDR2 model so it's not going to have any trouble.
The coolermaster isn't terrible AFAIK, neither are the antec units. The corsair would be nice though, very stable, efficent and super quiet.
TBH, are those £7 speakers even worth bothering with?
The £45 8600GTS from Ebuyer is passively cooled too!
Agreed. I've decided to go for the 8600GTS and get the standalone CM330 with the Corsair VX450.
Leaving me with some room to pay for a timed delivery.
I to would not go for a wireless keyboardor mouse, nothing worse than running out of battery charge half way through a game session.
I'm not a big fan of very cheap keyboards, haveing switched to slightly more expensive (but basic) types I much prefur the feel of the keys, for both typeing and gameing.
This is probably the nicest low cost keyboard I've ever used.

Mice are harder to call as differnt people prefur differnt shapes.
I prefur the logitech for shape.
Low cost

Slightly more (and this is will push the cost higher that the wireless combo pack)
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/105489#
has the two extra side buttons (usefull for gameing) and I personally love the shape
No idea what this is like but you could give it a go as a real bargin bucket gameing mouse

Fair Point. I'll spend some time and look at some wired keyboards/mice. I like the look of that budget gaming mouse.
The RX1500 laser mouse maybe a good budget mouse as it has the same scroll wheel as the MX/VX series:

If you mean the tilt wheel, then so does the rx100 and MX400 I linked to.
And personally I much prefure there shape.
But at £7 that budget one looks intresting, Although if the sides are silvery then that paint will probably rub off in places after a couple of months.
For some reason it's only ever the silver paint that rubs off cheap mice, although form the pic's it looks more like light grey plastic.
Personally I'd be tempted to go for it, then if it's really bad, regret a bad choise and save for a month or two for something better.
£6.99 for a Gigabyte gaming mouse
(with DPI adjustable (800/1600 DPI): 2-level sensitivity switching)
Cavalier-X: Biostar TP45-HP ¦ E4600@3.1ghz - Xigmatek Red Scorpion (OCZ Freeze) ¦ OCZ ReaperX 2x2gb (792mhz @ 4-4-4--12) ¦ Xigmatek NRP-MC651 ¦

The RX1500 does not have the same scroll as I have the wireless version of the RX1000 and my mate has the RX1000 itself. It has the same superfast scroll wheel as the MX and VX revolution:

I have tried a supercheap laser mouse before and found it had much worse tracking than even a standard cheaper logitech optical mouse!!
The Gigabyte mouse does look interesting though!
