Memory Issue - Lots of blue screens + resets

    Hi,

I have just spend all day trying to get my new system up and running and have finally managed to do so after a lot of problems with blue screens and memory errors. Anyway, it seems that my motherboard (http://www.ebuyer.com/product/140066) and memory (http://www.ebuyer.com/product/133709) don't seem to like each other when both modules are installed, however installing just one works fine.

It is probably a noob mistake, but any idea? Btw, I have tried both modules individually and they seem to work OK, so just looks like it is when they are running together.

    Bios setup is as follows:

    CPU (E5200)
    FSB: 200
    Voltage: 1.125
    Ratio 12.5

    Memory
    Freq: 800
    Voltage: 1.9

Processor temp seems fine, runs around 26 degrees.

Operating system is Vista x64 Ultimate (although similar issues occured when I tried with 32-bit XP).

    Thanks

According to your supplier the memory voltage should be 2.0V.

This memory is not on the Gigabyte list of compatible memory however, you should be able to get it to work. Just check all the memory timing and voltage in the BIOS. Don't use the automatic settings.

Thanks. Yes, you are correct - I just noticed that on the website too. The motherboard was defaulting to 1.9, I have changed it to 2.0 and all seems good. Crysis now runs on 'Gamer' setting which is good

Just had a quick look at the Kingston site, They list a voltage of 1.85V @ 800Mhz or 1.80V @ 667Mhz all at timings of 5-5-5-15.
