I agree with Kez. For the hard disk's factory it could be cheaper to have only one assembly line, then enable or disable the heads by software (when writing the firmware).
So they could produce one physical hard disk, but sell them with different capacities.
They could also disabled some heads based on the quality of the surfaces...
It's just an opinion, but the main processor's factories were doing something similar with the CPUs, because it would be more expensive to have an assembly line for each processor speed.

Getting rid of the partition is easy, just use xp's disk management to delete the ghost drive and you'll be left with the original drive pace only. Your data however is either gone or learning a new language, I'd suggest you start too
It did kez, the new partition is only there when the new ghost partition is still there, at least for me anyway. The data is gonna be lost, best bet will be to copy it all off to somewhere else asap and see which files are still intact. I'm guessing not many.
Sorry, but didnt you read the constant messages of not to copy important data to it, or infact even do it to a drive where you cant afford to loose anything on it ?Originally Posted by modyco
Try some data recovery tools on it, and have a look at the Norton based programs which do it.
Also, please dont link to abviously warezed films !
