Laptop Graphics Card

My dad has a 6800 Nvidia GFX card of some sort in his FujitsuSiemens AMILO laptop. Its seem to have given up the ghost and right on time, just days out of the warranty. I was wondering if its possible to replace it myself and if so where I could come across a cheap replacement?

Very few laptop graphics cards are changeable. Most likely soldered ins o a motherboard change.

They are also very pricey when you can get them so unless you can get the same laptop spares or repair I wouldn't bother.

Some of the Amilos had a slot for the graphics card IIRC. However even if this is so it will hard to find a replacement one.

Yeah I mean I think maybe sothe ULTRA's had the MXM 3 (i think thats it) connector so you could. Perhaps not all of them though.
