    Birthday Pressie

Ok, so I've got a round about £50 budget to choose a birthday pressie. I've pretty much narrowed it down to these:-

Noctua NH-U12P - I've currently got an Akasa AK-965, and would like to get quieter/better cooling and maybe overclock my Q6600 higher than 3.2ghz. Can also buy the i7 mounting kit and another fan if I decide to go i7 eventually.

Razer Lycosa - Would love a better keyboard, and would like a USB one, really like the idea of the backlit keys as it will look awesome with the rest of my kit.

OCZ 30gb Solid Series SSD - Only SSD in my price range, not sure if the peformance is exactly amazing, but surely it will be quicker than my Samsung 1TB?

What would you go for? Also if anyone else has any other ideas as to what might be a worthy purchase then I would love to hear from you.

My current rig just for reference.

    Case:- Antec P182
    Motherboard:- Abit IP35-E
    Gfx:- Evga 8800gts 512 (currently oc'd to 799/2015/1110)
    Ram:- 4gb Corsair DDR2-800
    Monitor:- Dell S2409W
    Mouse:- Razer Lachesis
Cpu:- Intel Q6600 @ 3.2ghz (Akasa Ak-965 with stock paste)
    OS:- Windows 7 32bit Beta

P.S Also thought about doing something with my GPU as far as an HR-03GT and a nice quiet fan, but I'm not sure if it's worth it as an upgrade may be on the horizon.

    Thanks in advance guys!

I'd go for the keyboard for that money. Also - shouldn't you be using the 64 bit edition of W7 if you have 4GB of Ram?

Yes, but had problems with some apps not liking 64bit.

And that's one vote for the keyboard.

    Re: Birthday Pressie

The keyboard gets my vote too.

Do not get the ssd, at this price point there is no advantage over your Samsung 1TB, other than it may be quieter and run cooler, no speed advantage.

    Re: Birthday Pressie

Agreed about the SSD. Me I'd go with a replacement HSF, but there's no guarantee that your setup will clock further.

Yes, I'm aware of that, it was more from a cooling/silence point of view.

2 votes for keyboard, one for HSF, keep em coming guys!

    Re: Birthday Pressie

    - If i had to choose i would go with the Razer Lycosa keyboard.
    - I have the original Saitek Eclipse, which i would have recommended but I dont think you can buy it. I prefer it to the new one, which is crammed with un-necassary keys and the silver colour is ugly.

    Saitek Eclipse

    Razer Lycosa

I know which one i would choose .

    Re: Birthday Pressie

    no to the SSD

Maybe to the cooler as the AK is quite limiting however with fan controller on i doubt the noctua would be massively quieter.

Maybe to the keyboard but im more a fan of the Eclipse keyboards rather than the razer.
