Is this build ok?

Given that the machine is only likely to be used for casual gaming, 4GB Ram and a 4830 might be overkill. You could knock about £40 off that by going with 2GB and a HD4670, and get good office performance and acceptable gaming. This is particularly true if it's going to be hooked up to a sub-20" monitor.

A HD4830 is still signifcantly faster though. If the machine is not going to be updated very often it may be better to go with a faster card as in two years time an HD4830 will be better for gaming than a HD4670.

True Dat. I guess it all depends on whether budget or performance is more important. If there's a certain stack of cash put to one side *just* for the computer then you may as well go for the 4GB and 4830. If the budget's a bit more fluid it's always worth having a slightly cheaper option... (or am I just a stereotypical tight Yorkshireman?)

The only thing I would change is the PSU. Anything in the 300-400W range from Corsair should be fine. Don't skimp on the PSU!

I think maybe because its cheap its assumed its crap(which is 99% true) but the Xclio PSU are totally different, made by CWT(who make most of the psu in the market) and every review rates them highly with them being quiet and very stable, my 700w xclio is very stable and not loud at all and it was about £30 cheaper than a corsair 620w at the time, it was the best buy .

Ok ill get the 500W Stealth Xstream and the asus board, will look for cheaper pricing now.

Being made by CWT is not quite all it's cooked put to be, they make all of Thermaltakes PSUs and always have, includeing TT's low end, none to great TR2 models.
It's make and model that is important.

However I do agree with you on the Xcilo, going by the reviews it does seem ok although seen reports that it's a bit noisey
And as the 450w modular corsair is £70 they are way too much atm.
The Xigmatek 650w has also had very good reviews and is low cost and modular (scan still have it in the wrong section)

You get what you pay for really, its probably a bit louder than a corsair etc but for saving ~40% its worth the sacrifice .

So i should get the cm bundle? Would that provide enough juice for a gpu upgrade in the future(possible, not certain but unlikely).
