hi guys need some advice, basically i have a few hd's a few ide ones that are small in size bt dnt really use only have as main pc uses ide and they have ide hd's within and no sata support. i could put a pci card in for sata if i needed. i also have a few sata hd's which i was planning on using inside an enclsoure, my original plan was to get an ide/sata case however i bought this one from svp

and as per my review there it was crap, now i cant seem to find any decent one on scan or svp that does have a fan. read around and found this one would support 1tb but no fan

Alaska one but that too dosent have a fan. Im not clued up on hds but do i need a fan within as the one i got from svp could hardly tell the fan was on, as usually the drive will used with my laptop so either on dining table or on my bed. also does the alaska have any probs or short falls as im told it dosent support 1tb hd? im not too fussed about ide size would like it to be there. hope it makes sence what im saying.
