    Built a C2D E6400 Machine in October 2006
    Rebuilt using a Q6600 in December 2007

    Requirement to go to Nahalem = None...this machine is quick enough for anything.

    Nov last year, my A64 4200 was plenty fast before that
    Someone left a note on a piece of cake in the fridge that said, "Do not eat!". I ate the cake and left a note saying, "Yuck, who the hell eats paper ?

    i've had my core 2 duo chip since 2007 in the late summer holidays,i'm still using it at this moment because i can't afford anymore new cpus,its a good cpu and its got potential still even today i think

    My Q6600 was put together in September 2007. Have upgraded the GFX only because PC3's failed, and I cascaded. This isn't anything spectacular IMO. My 939 lasted ~3 years, with a CPU/RAM upgrade and 2 GFX ones. What is different about this is that I can't see me changing the CPU/RAM in this setup.

    I reckon lots of people will skip Nehalem.
