What to do with an old 1u server?

As per the title. I recently cleared out some old PCs from the office including a P3 Tualatin (remember those?) based Supermicro 1u server. Not a power house - 1 CPU (1 core and 1 thread!) @ 1.13GHz, 512MB RAM and 2 x 80GB HDDs (PATA not even SCSI). Have had a look at ebay but the prices for 'non-branded' servers (i.e. non Dells and HPs) are incredibly low, e.g.

Any ideas? I'd rather put it to use or let someone else do so rather than chucking it on the tip.

if you can shove it out the way it would make a file server using one of the free NAS linux based OS's

Or if it has two NICs, it would make an outstanding router boxen. It would also be well suited to a home Linux/BSD server, if you need one.

You could also turn it into a simple seedbox for home use, debian + rtorrent would work great on a machine like that.

I'd use it as a fileserver. Put in some big harddrives and you got yourself some nice network storage!

not worth it mate. Your electricity bill will be huge using a Dempsey core CPU. Its just a P4 really and we all know what they are like!

Huh?.. Tualatin != Dempsey, there wasn't a hint of NetBurp in Tualatin. The ebay link malfunction gave wasn't his.
