Use the onboard nforce 2 sound on the abit nf7-s mobo. Connected vis optic cable to my videologic digitheatre dts system

Got my pre-amp for my record player plugged into my line in to.

hmmmm not sure if the nboard 2 cuts the mustard in todays games. Find when i turn sound quality to high, i notice a performance drop. Then again could just be me thinking things

The research I've seen shows the 20s to be spending the most on games and hardware, but that doesn't mean thats were the average gamer sits. Don't get me wrong - I'm a 20 something It's just that it's very hard to gauge the age ranges, esp. teens, since they generally don't register things or send in surveys. Plus last time I went to an multiplay event over half the players where teenage counterstrikers (I know, that just says something about i-series events...)

I was forming my opinions mostly from my "can you fix my pc" calls - where I often find either:
    a) A PC from the DSG (so it's a ~3GHz P4 on a nasty motherboard with onboard gfx and sound - not nForce either - and aformentioned 50p speakers)
    b) A PC they've built (and it's not working) with something like a XP2400 with a 5900XT - with the cheapest sound, speakers, monitor, keyboard and mouse they could find.
Now go away before I taunt you a second time.

Well i have a Sound Blaster Live 5.1 running sound through a Videologic ZXR-500 (the 5.1 system before 550's). Sounds good enough to me, but want an amp and some speakers when i have the cash.
