    A DVDRW Question....

I had problems with my DVDRW on my Shuttle SN41G2. However, I can now succesfully burn CDR's - because I rolled back the NVidia IDE Driver and replaced it with the standrad windows one.

However, despite this progress, I still cannot burn DVD's - when I put any media (4X Datawrite V2 Red's) in, the computer bascially stalls until I remove it. MOreover, on the following bootup, it reaches the Windows Startup Screen, where the loading bar appears, then goes black and fails to boot any further.

I updated the firware of my drive, and would now like to revert back to normal - how do I do this?

Also, given these symptoms, what do you suggest my next course of action should be?

I drive is the Toshiba SD-R5112.

    Thanks for your help Guys.

I had some problems with mine - it would fail on a burn and that was down to IDE drivers for my motherboard.
Other than that you could try a different IDE cable/port? Just to see if it's something wrong with the cable?

Sorry if that isn't much help .
Could you give Toshiba Tech support a go?
