I am going to order the part witin a week, so I think i5 is out of it? I read that it should be released somewhere in October?

How would the HD 4770 graphicscard be? I have read that it should be pretty fast and cooler than the 4890?

I now have a 19" monitor, but will be buying soon a 24-26" monitor. I have read that using 1920x1200 resolution, it should be at least a 1Gb graphicscard?

I am just not sure if I should buy the Silverstone FX121 SFF Cross Flow Fan?

Maybe I can buy it later if I find it useful...

So I think I will order the setup on my first post + the P12 fan + some wlan dongle.

It seems to be hard to find the Corsair H50.

Any other store I could order the setup, than from OverclockersUK? I need shipping to Finland and hopefully low prices.
The Core i5 is already available in some parts of the world and it is coming out sometime next month in the UK. September the 8th seems to be the date:

    http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/news/inde...newsid=121483&

For an SFF build it makes sense to go for a cooler running CPU.

The HD4770 is cooler running but it will take two of them to match the performance of an HD4890:

    Re: SG04-H and i7

Now I am ready to order the parts. Just waiting for the Corsair H50 to be in stock.

I will order the cpu,memory,H50 and graphics card from OCUK and the rest from Finland, because the price difference is not so big.

    In this review: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jx5usoClfDs

they say that the H50 can be installed with 2 120mm fans, would that be better than 1 fan for the SG04-H case? Maybe 2 fans won't fit?

Would it be better to change the stock fan for aftermarket fan? If so, would the S12 or P12 be better to buy?

Would it be a good idea to replace the thermal compound on the H50 for a Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound?

Get the Noctua P12. I just bought two P12s which I will be sticking on the front of my SG03, replacing the stock fan that comes with the H50, now I just need to wait for core i5

I think you could probably just about get a push/pull (a double fan) set up in the case but I did read a review (which I've since been unable to find) which suggested both adding a fan and putting different/better fan(s) on there didn't seem to have that much effect on the temperature.

I fitted my RMA'd H50 (thanks Scan!) to my big rig on Thursday evening and I've got that with a push/pull double fan and it's performing well but for all I know it would do as well on a single.

I really like the H50 - I've had no luck cooling my QX6700 on air but this thing performs excellently.

I asked OCUK about the H50 and they said it would propably be in stock next week.

Anyone that can recommend another shop that has it in stock and deliver to Finland?

Or should I get some other cooling instead of the H50?

If I get the i7 920 retail and install it with the retail cooler, I need to remove the motherboard to install the H50 later?

    Re: SG04-H and i7

    Hi again.

As I have been waiting for the Corsair H50 to be in stock, I have decided that I can wait a week or two for the new i5 and i7 to come.

I am just not sure to buy the i5 750 or the i7 860? Maybe the 860 will be closer to the i7 920?

Maybe the s models of the i5 750 and the i7 870 would be better? They only have TDP at 82W vs 95W for the non s model. They seem to be about 50-60$ more expensive. Is there a big difference between 82W vs 95W TDP? The i7 920 has 130W TDP.

    http://sweclockers.com/imagebank/200...ssttnin001.gif

I am not sure when the s models will be available, anyone know?

I also have been looking at motherboards, but there seems none available at the moment.

I have seen previews of the GIGABYTE GA-P55M-UD4 and Asus Maximus III Gene, would any of those be good for my build?

Anyone know when some mAtx P55 motherboard will be available to buy?

If I am correct, then the H50 would also fit the 1156 socket?

Then I would also need to change the memory.

Should I buy 2x2 gb of memory or 4x2 gb memory?

What latency and memory speed should I be looking at dual channel memory?

Any good memory to be recommended?

I think that I don't need to change the other parts in my system? Maybe the 520W PSU instead of the 620W?

    Re: SG04-H and i7

Here is the H50 in stock : http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Corsa...nce-CPU-Cooler

I did the i7 build in the SG02 and it did not work. I migrated to the CM 690 and have the H50 on order from scan. If your looking at a smaller build you seriously need to look at lower TDP CPU's. The i7's 130w means it will kick out heat big time , something i did not expect when i did my build. The H50 will put a different look on things for sure but i would be unable to fit it in the SG02 case.

Good luck with your build but please read my thread and use it to your advantage. I7 is great , the I5 will be interesting.

You should have gone for a Lian Li V351 of the SG03/SG04-H, you could fit the H50 on your i7, problem solved and you get a SFF pc.

    Re: SG04-H and i7

I found a swedish review (translated with google) of the SG04-H and a i7 system.

    http://translate.google.com/translat...istory_state0=

They say that the Noctua P12 is not good for a high end system, should I buy some other fans for my coming system?

The i5 and P55 motherboards seems to be available in Germany.

    http://www.pctweaker.de/index.php?ca...cf7450c49f950c

The only mAtx P55 motherboard currently available is Gigabyte P55M-UD4.

Anyone have experience with Gigabyte? I would like to have the new Asus Maximum III Gene, but don't know when it is going to be available.

I also found 2 new memorykits optimized for i5.

    http://www.pctweaker.de/product_info...-XMS3-CL9.html

    http://www.pctweaker.de/product_info...nator-CL8.html

Should I buy the cheaper or the more expensive?

I think I will order now from Germany instead of OCUK.

Will Komplett (http://www.komplett.com/default.aspx?Cat=71) be able to supply you in Finland? They are based in Scandinavia AFAIK so are much closer.

The Noctua P12s are great, I did a little test in my SG03, they are very good, plenty of airflow with little noise. You could get a fan with more airflow, but it depends if you want a silent system. There are many many review websites that recommend them.

And Gigabyte are a brilliant manufacture of motherboards.

I send Komplett an e-mail if they ship to Finland. I don't think they do.

Got confirmation that they only deliver to Sweden.

It seems to be that I am lucky that they only have 1 Sapphire 4890 in stock and they get the Corsair H50 tomorrow...

I just got a-mail from Germany that my money had arrived.

Sadly they said that the 1156 mounting kit was not included with the Corsair H50. They said I needed to order it directly from Corsair.

I looked at the website, but didn't find anywhere to order the kit.

Anyone else in the same situation as I am? Anyone who has the H50 that got the 1156 mounting kit in the same package?

They offered a DDR3 PC1600 4096MB Kit Mushkin XP3-12800 CL7 for the same price as the Corsair memory. Mushkin are 20€ more expensive as the Corsair.

I hope they are as good also, couldn't refuse the better deal.
