try booting whilst holding the Insert key down - that should force it to boot with default safe (100fsb) settings.

take the cord out again, and use the cmos clear jumper to short the other pins for a few seconds then put it back, should then work when you put th epower cord back, but youll need to goto bios and change all the settings to what they should be...

What is a "cmos clear jumper" and where is it, and how do I do this? Please formally state this in a form that anybody who doesnt understand a thing about computers can comprehend.

    Thankyou.

if the machine doesn't even make a beep now and nothing powers on the board has died, sorry oh and in no way did my bios settings have anything to do with it, they are in my opinion the settings of someone "in-the-know" bar a few things i should of left out like Expert timings but nevermind you should of realised.

The CMOS clear will be three pins on the motherboard with a small plastic cap joining two of them together, just move the cap (with the power disconnected) to the other end of the line of pins, count to 30, then move it back and power on as normal. Some motherboards just have the metal contacts showing for the clear, these need to be joined briefly by laying something small and metal (like the head of a screwdriver) gently across them.

The location of the pins/connectors should be detailed within the motherboard manual, and will be labelled on the board.

Try holding the Insert button down whilst you power on - you said " just went beeeep boooom beeeeep booooom beeeeep boooom and it wont stop." so it obviously does something when you power on .

On an NF7-S the clear CMOS jumper is yellow coloured & is in the bottom right hand side of the board above the battery (probably labelled CCMOS1).
Move it onto pins 2&3 for 30 secs to clear & then return it to pins 1&2.

Hello guys I just wanted to report to you a sucessful fix!!! Yay lol. Anyways, thanks for all your help. But one quick question. What are some bios settings that will make a difference and will not harm my computer? Some tweaks?

    Thanks...
