    Question USB -> LPT adapters

    At my uncles shop they're running both a parallel printer and scanner - the printer is connected through the scanner.

    However, the runthrough circuitry on the scanner has recently become a bit nackered, so it's either fork out for a new scanner, or put the printer on its own port.

    Now my question is, how good are USB to LPT adapters? I've found one for about a tenner but I want to know what they like and how the drivers utilise them.

    If anybody can find a dirt cheap LPT PCI card that'd be equally good.

    Cheers,
    Kez.

    they seem to work quite well, bought one cheap on ebay for my mum and dad's shuttle, never had a problem with it, just plugged it in and it's worked ever since
