    HDTVs?

    Hi guys,

I'm stuck for a Christmas Present idea off the missus and I was looking around for a new Tele to replace my current 32" Techwood (which is all honesty has been brilliant for me the last 3 years)

Her budget is £250 (as I'm selling the techwood towards it) and I'm looking to go a little smaller in size. I'd feel most comfortable with a 26" I think but wouldn't mind a 28 if they exist. I was looking for Samsing, Panasonic, LG, Sony etc but I'm not really upto speed with thats good and whats in my price-range.

I'm looking for something with sexy visual clarity, sound isn't too important as I'll be using a headset 75% of the time with it. I'm looking for something with Component input to run a HD PVR through and a HDMI input for my PC. I look for easy channel switching and good visual vlarity for XBOX games over anything else. 1080p would be a bonus. Anyone know of what I should be looking for to A) Fit Specs, B) Fit price, C) Fit Both

    Regards/ Richie

    Re: HDTVs?

First up, £250 doesn't give you a lot to play with if you want something which isn't second hand.
For this amount of money you can pretty much exclude Sony and Panasonic. 1080p is probably out too, although the benefits of 1080p on a 26inch display are debatable anyway.

    Have a look at these:

I have a Samsung monitor which I am very happy with, and I have heard that LGs are fine, but my TV is a Panasonic so have no experience with Samsung or LG TVs first hand. Best to go into your local Richer Sounds (or equivalent) and have a look. In my experience Richer Sounds are very competitive for price too.
