NEC organic radical battery 30 second recharge

NEC Corp has developed a battery that can be recharged in only 30 seconds. Called an organic radical battery it stores power in a special resin. It can be recharged to the same level of power as that stored in nickel-hydrogen cells. The cost of the new battery is expected to be about the same as nickel-hydrogen cells when mass production starts.

I this is true it's bleedin amazing. I mean 30 seconds is like 120x faster than the current fastest chargers.

I wonder if there will be any visible flames and/or impressive explosions.

i bet its sold to consumers at a ridiculous price tho. £10 a battery or something!
