    Best Single slot gcard for my shuttle?

    I currently have a 9600GT and was looking to get something a little better. I guess im looking at the 9800gt or the 4850. Can anyone recommend a slingle slot version of any of these or something better than what i have?

    The bus powered version would 9800GT would be ideal for a Shuttle SN78SH7 since it has a 300W PSU:

    thanks for the detailed post mate, really kind of you, i quite like the Eco one, gonna have a read of the review, i presume its like wise in performance?

    do you know off hand if that is the maxium i will get out of my shuttle psu? just wondering if there are any other higher performance eco cards

    One of my mates has the Zotac 9800GT and it plays most games fine including Crysis. The fan can get noisy at times but the 9800GT is the fastest single slot card that I can see for sale. You could always look for an HD4850 with the single slot reference cooler though although these tend to run hot and consume more power than a 9800GT.

    IMHO,the bus powered 9800GT should not tax your PSU too much especially considering the fact that it should consume less power than a standard 9600GT and have a faster GPU.

    OK thanks again i will get the 9800 for now, should be able to recoup some cash on the 9600gt from ebay
