    Voted for nothing.
Whats the point in buying a modular unit and then not using half it.

For a general purpose PC I would always use a non modular, simpler cheaper less likely to have a fault in the cabling.

Saying that I did use a modular PSU for an HTPC build where it was a bit cramped in the case.
However I think it was overkill (500W Seasonic) because I could just have used a 300W unit which would have has less cables anyway.

Have just built up the kids new system and as with every other PC in the house, it has a modular psu. I've got the mobo power connections plugged in (hardwired into the psu) and apart from that i've got one lead plugged in to run the gfx card and one to run the hdd and optical drive...the headers on the mobo will run the case fans, neat, tidy and no trying to hide miles and miles of cables you don't need...i don't think i'd build a PC without one to be honest.
