You will need to change the settings in the BIOS

The PSU I suggested is modular which means less cable mess in the case!

And according to Gibbo, still has over 100 in stock . He managed to get his hands on over 200 of these at that price.

Re: Good enough for Call Of Duty Modern Warfare?

Ordered HD5850 from Aria, thanks for info Matty.
Cat, before I order the other components, is this the memory you are talking about - CMX4GX3M2A1600C9 - 4GB (2x2GB) Corsair XMS3 DDR3, PC3-12800 (1600), 240 Pin, Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 9-9-9-24, XMP, £85.99 from Scan. Is there anything else I should order at the same time, eg are all the connection included? thanks.

    Check this webpage:

    http://www.scan.co.uk/TodayOnly/Index.aspx

The RAM and many other components you need for the build are cheaper this weekend on the webpage I linked to.

The motherboard should come with some SATA cables. Of course make sure you have a screwdriver to hand!! Also make sure you take proper precautions against static.

You may want to consider getting an internal card reader for your computer too:

Damn, thought it was all screwless .
Sorry to be a pain, but, do I need 4GB Corsair 'Dominator' DDR3 as opposed to XMS3 as XMS3 'has been designed specifically to support the Intel Core i5 and Core i7'?

The Phenom II will work with both low voltage and high voltage DDR3. I would get the 1600MHZ XMS3 RAM which costs £83.41 on the Today Only webpage.

Ok nearly there - I just need a network card, doesn't need to be wireless, any thoughts?

The motherboard has ethernet built in as do almost all modern motherboards I have seen.

Re: Good enough for Call Of Duty Modern Warfare?

Blu-Ray can wait, DVD's a necessity. Anyway it's cheaper to get a separate one than a combo! Love the idea, I can change things as I like (money permitting)!
BTW can you recommend a simple, step by step, build tutorial?

Next problem, my eldest son went out and bought 'Crysis' on the strength of our new set up!
He also said he was looking at 'left for dead', 'far cry' and 'grand Theft Auto'. I take it he'll be able to play them?
