About LinkBacksWell the FX53's replaced the FX51 in the watercoold rig, so I need a std air cooler for the 51. Anyone got the low-down on what's the best cooler for it. Running a tad warm with the stock one on, 50c in a well ventilated case.

I don't bother with the fan controller and just run it at full speed - it's still very quiet. Some of the reviews on the net are actually rating the Al Cu version higher than the pure Cu version - apparently it cools slightly better. Load temps are in the low 50's at the moment which IMO is quite good for the speed and volts I need to keep my relatively crap chip stable. www.pixmania.com have it for £14 (but £9 P&P!) and www.extremecooling.co.uk also have it for around £23 (free P&P).

Chars malfunctiononly other one I could find was the Thermaltake Venus. Still that's two to choose from.

Was abt £460 ex Vat iirc from Rainbow IT.
£460?! For a CPU?! I wish i had that sort of money to throw at my PC!
